When Restoration Isn't Worth It

1 min read

Sometimes the right answer is not to restore a card, and we'd rather tell a customer that upfront than take a job we don't believe will meet their expectations.

When We'll Say No

The card is too worn overall

Restoration won't change the outcome enough to justify it

Other defects would cap it anyway

Centering, corners or print quality limit the result regardless

The cost doesn't make sense

Against the card's actual value, restoration isn't worth it

Expectations aren't realistic

Like expecting a specific, guaranteed grade

It's outside what we responsibly do

Some jobs need a kind of work we don't perform

None of this is about discouraging customers from restoring their cards. It's about being straightforward before any money changes hands, so nobody sends in a card expecting a result we don't believe is realistic.
